Home and Away confirms new exit plot after three dramatic years in Summer Bay

Home and Away spoilers follow from Thursday’s Australian-pace episodes (6 November), which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away star Juliet Godwin has officially left the soap after three years in the role of Bree Cameron. Her final scenes aired in Australia today, ahead of broadcast in the UK early next year.

The show’s latest episode saw Bree wave goodbye to Summer Bay after landing a new job, which will see her working as part of Doctors Without Borders. This led to her moving on from the Northern Districts Hospital, where she’s worked since 2022.

News of Bree’s planned departure quickly hit home for her ex-boyfriend Remi Carter, who’s never truly moved on from their recent break-up.

The pair ended up sleeping together again, but there was no full-time reunion on the cards. Instead, Bree and Remi realised that they’d shared the perfect goodbye and it was time to go their separate ways.remi carter and bree cameron in home and away

On Bree’s final night in the Bay, she shared goodbye scenes with her friend Mackenzie Booth.

The next morning, Remi and Sonny Baldwin were both present to wave Bree off.

Remi urged Bree not to forget him after everything they’d shared together. The couple previously took centre stage in a dark issue-based storyline, as Remi helped Bree when she was in an abusive marriage.

In their final moments together, Bree told Remi: “I could never forget you. You changed my life. Without you, I never would have made it to this point.”bree cameron and sonny baldwin in home and away

Rumours about Bree’s future in Home and Away have been circulating since July. At the time, a photo Story on Instagram saw Juliet surrounded by the show’s cast and crew, alongside a goodbye message – although the post was later deleted.

We’ve seen a busy year for Summer Bay departures, with Kirsty Marillier (Rose Delaney), Angelina Thomson (Kirby Aramoana) and Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts) all leaving. UK fans are also yet to see Matt Evans’s dramatic final scenes as Theo Poulos, which aired in Australia at the start of last month.

It’s not all bad news, though, as the show’s 2026 season will feature the long-awaited returns of Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen as fan favourite couple Brax and Ricky. The pair are back for a limited run of episodes filmed in Western Australia.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
