Emmerdale reveals death fears as Bear ordeal takes another terrifying turn
One Emmerdale character’s life will be hanging in the balance next week, as the Bear Wolf storyline takes another dark turn following the reveal that Paddy Dingle’s dad has been enslaved by evil Ray Walters and Celia Daniels. While being kept in awful conditions, Bear has struck up a friendship with Anya. That makes things all the more heartbreaking when she contracts a fever — and it gets worse.
In scenes set to air next week, Bear tries to tend to Anya as she deteriorates from the fever, but Ray orders him to get back to work. After hearing of her plight, he promises that he’ll get her some antibiotics, before heading off.

Later on, he lays the charm on Laurel Thomas at Mulberry Cottage, but their intimate moment is interrupted when Celia calls.
Ray returns to the farm and sees that Anya is in a really bad way. She also learns that she has a daughter.
Wracked with guilt, Ray allows Bear to stay with her as she drifts in and out of consciousness.

The next day, Anya’s condition has gotten even worse. Bear promises to stay and look after her, but will she pull through?
Also in next week’s episodes, April is arrested by the police for possession of drugs. While at the station, they outright ask her if she is being forced into dealing.
Although April keeps quiet, it’s drawn attention to the County Lines operation, and and Celia is furious that the authorities are sniffing around.

The story is building to a dramatic finish and actor Jaye Griffiths has confirmed she’ll be leaving the soap as Celia makes her exit.
“I knew it was finite, which I am very sad about, because I would like to stay forever, but it’s such a strong arc,” she said.
