As New Year’s Eve dawns on Albert Square in EastEnders spoilers for tonight, Max is keen to make up to his family after yesterday. He meets up with Oscar, and asks him to help arrange a secret meeting with Lauren in The Vic. When she arrives, Lauren is furious at Max for his behaviour, and for using Oscar to get to her.

Later, Max goes to Harry’s Barn, where he vows to fight for his family. Can Max keep his promise?

Elsewhere, Harry starts work at The Arches, but is preoccupied by recent events. Phil gives Harry some advice – but he misconstrues this as confirmation that he should pursue revenge against Ravi.

Later, Nicola spots Harry as he’s about to jump Ravi from behind.

Can she stop Harry before he does something terrible?

Meanwhile, Billy and Honey take care of Nigel while Phil and Julie visit some potential care homes. After mistaking Honey for Julie, Nigel tries to flirt with her in front of a bemused-looking Billy.
