Harry Mitchell made a dramatic return to EastEnders this week after leaving rehab, finally free from the drug addiction that has haunted him since his brutal abduction and torture at the hands of Oki. While his homecoming should have marked a fresh start, it instead reopened deep wounds and reignited a thirst for revenge that could devastate Walford.

Harry’s relief was short-lived. His father, Teddy Mitchell, remains behind bars after wrongly taking the blame for Oki’s death — a killing that was, in truth, carried out by Harry himself. Adding to the emotional strain, Harry’s younger brother Barney Mitchell has moved in with his biological father, Zack Hudson, unable to cope with the chaos at home.
But the figure Harry cannot escape is Ravi Gulati, the man he holds responsible for the complete destruction of his life. Ravi dragged Harry into his criminal operation, forcing him to sell drugs and seizing the home of Harry’s closest friend, Kojo Asar. When Harry tried to protect Kojo, Ravi and Oki imprisoned him in a trap house, where Oki deliberately fed his addiction — a trauma that nearly killed him.

Watching Ravi return to family life, warmly embraced by Avani, Nugget, and partner Priya, only intensified Harry’s hatred. Despite Kojo urging him to let go, Harry snapped after Barney refused to come home. Spotting Ravi casually leaving the café, seemingly untouched by consequence, Harry lashed out in fury.
In today’s episode, Phil Mitchell delivered blunt advice that struck a nerve, implying that anyone who threatens family must be dealt with decisively. Soon after, Harry began following Ravi through the Square, a spanner clenched tightly in his hand. His mother, Nicola Mitchell, immediately sensed danger.
As Ravi knelt down, unaware, Harry raised the weapon — only for Nicola to grab his arm. With loud music masking their exchange, she ordered him to stop. Later, Harry confessed that without revenge, he feared relapse. Nicola, shaken by the thought of losing her son again, promised they would destroy Ravi carefully, quietly, and completely.
Though Harry lacks Ravi’s criminal power, Nicola is far more dangerous than she appears. With a lethal past and deep underworld connections, her calm exterior hides a ruthless strategist. During the New Year’s Eve celebrations, she set her plan in motion, offering Ravi a free drink with a warm smile. Ravi accepted, unaware he had just stepped into a trap.
