Sister Wives star Christine Brown’s stunning revelation about how she is RELATED by blood to ex Kody Brown

In a recent episode of Sister Wives, Christine Brown surprised fans by revealing that she and her ex-husband, Kody Brown, are actually distant blood relatives. Christine shared this revelation with her current husband, David Woolley, during a confessional where she discussed the unusual realities of polygamous life.

She explained that they are third cousins, once removed, which means they share distant ancestral roots. While polygamy itself is not legal in the United States, their distant family connection certainly is. Christine noted that she always knew she was related to many people in her community growing up, but she didn’t realize at the time that Kody was one of those distant relatives.
She admitted to husband David Woolley: 'I'm related to Kody. I knew growing up that I would have to marry a convert because I was literally related to everybody in the church'

Janelle Brown, another former wife of Kody, chimed in that there had always been a joke in their circles about how Christine and Kody were related — but it was so distant that it was often dismissed as insignificant.

Christine and Kody were spiritually married in 1994 and remained together for nearly three decades before separating in 2021. They share six children. Since then, Christine has moved on and married David Woolley in 2023. Meanwhile, Kody remains married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.

The revelation added yet another unexpected twist to the already complex Brown family history, highlighting how closely connected members of their tight-knit community can be.
